Job overview

Cleaners provide the highest level of cleaning service within their area of responsibility. They may be cleaning in an office, shop, care home or hospital.

Day to day

  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.

  • Stocking and supplying designated areas

  • Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities

  • Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects


Pros and cons of a cleaning role

Pros:

Cons:

❌ It can be hard, physically demanding work and you may need to handle heavy equipment and machinery
