1. Long-term solution

Beam unblocks barriers for people experiencing disadvantage and supports them to develop the skills to earn a living and sustainably support themselves.

2. Partnered with experts

Beam works with leading charities like St Mungo's and Shelter and our team comprises experienced entrepreneurs and experts in homelessness.

3. Efficient

With our 100% giving model, every penny raised goes towards funding a new future for people who've been left behind - you can contribute to our overheads, but it’s up to you.

4. Transparent

We show the costs of each person’s crowdfunding campaign to the nearest pound on their campaign, plus live data about Beam on our company impact page.

5. Give responsibly

Beam looks after all your funds and spends them on the defined items on each campaign’s budget. Beam never hands out cash to the people we support.

6. Sustainable

When a person progresses into their chosen career or home, they can contribute to new campaigns: multiplying the impact you can have by supporting them.

7. Hands-on support

Each person has a caseworker, also known as an Operations Executive who supports them from launching their campaign all the way into stable careers or homes.

8. Personalised, empowering model

People are more likely to succeed when they are empowered to play to their strengths and pursue their ambitions: every Beam campaign is as unique as the person behind it.

9. Beam works!

More than 80% of people who have been through the programme start work and 78% move into housing within 12 weeks. We believe it's the best model to help people to get back on their feet.

10. See your impact

Beam keeps you in the loop on the progress of the people you support via email and gives you your own "Personal Impact Page", so you can see how many people you have helped get into work and housing. Here's our CEO's
