Beam's founder is me, Alex Stephany. I believe we urgently need to start using technology to address some of the world's biggest social problems - from homelessness to the refugee crisis. I’m also passionate about building technology that is just as good as Netflix or Spotify, but for the most disadvantaged people in our society.

I was then joined by my cofounder, Seb Barker. Seb has brought with him 10 years’ experience in homelessness services, social care and supporting those with substance misuse. Seb leads on the development of our award-winning operational model.
